Awkwafina
Awkwafina started out as a American performer and rapper, performing sly tunes that dealt with questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. Before expanding to Hollywood, she could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. Additionally, she was given the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. It wasn't until she graduated that she start focusing on music. Following her viral success through the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in the year 2015, and was an additional initiative. With musician and author as her credentials, she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. As well as early shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she released In Fina We Trust.
